The Learning Platform Project Team

Project Team

The support model is being built around a 'Hive model'. Each hive is a collection of people who are focused on a Faculty group.
Each faculty will have a dedicated team to support the migration and capability development onto the new learning platform. A Team Leader will coordinate the migration plan and capability development programme for the faculty and support the building of course development skills across the University with a team of FLaTAs.

Faculty Learning and Teaching Advisor role (FLaTA)
A fixed term project role, FLaTAs will be embedded within Faculties to do most of the work to migrate courses and optimise them to work seamlessly in the new LMS. They will need some time and input for this from course coordinators, but the intent is to significantly lighten the load on Academic staff.
The FLaTAs will get comprehensive training in learning design and the new LMS, so they will be our first new LMS super-users. They will be the ones to deliver user training to make sure people are equipped and ready to start teaching on the new LMS.

You are free to contact anyone within your relative Hive to get support. Contact Details for the Team.
