Nuku Project Update - 8 March 2023
This week, we continue supporting teaching teams with using Nuku, and begin to look ahead to Trimester 2 course migration starting. There are also some further changes to Blackboard access, as more courses in Blackboard have now finished. This week’s update covers:

Nuku Project Update - 1 March 2023
Week one of Trimester 1—we’re finally here! For the Nuku team, this means our focus is now on supporting staff through the first couple of weeks of teaching in Nuku, and then we’ll start turning our focus onto Trimester 2 course migration.

Nuku Project Update - 22 February 2023
This week all our Trimester 1 courses went ‘live’ in Nuku, so students can now view them. Next week, we start teaching for the first full academic year in Nuku. This period around the start of Trimester 1 is always a busy time, and this year has the additional challenge of using a new learning platform. We want everyone to know about where to get the right kind of support when it’s needed, as we start teaching on Nuku.

Nuku Project Update - 15 February 2023
Trimester 1 courses will ‘go-live’ and be visible to students on Monday 20 February. This will allow students to review their course information and get ready for the start of Trimester on Monday 27 February—less than two weeks away now! There’s still a lot of work going on to finalise the last courses, complete training, and complete course handovers from the migration team to course coordinators. It’s a busy time, so here are the things we want you to know this week:

Nuku Project Update - 8 February 2023
We’re now two weeks away from students being able to see their T1 courses in Nuku, and three weeks from the start of teaching.
Our big focus for the next few weeks is on training and support for teachers in preparation for start of teaching in T1. Ensuring you’re prepared and familiar with Nuku will ensure a smooth start to T1 for both teachers and students, so avoid the last-minute panic and get this sorted now. This update includes:

Happy New Year from the Nuku team! We’re now three short weeks away from students being able to see their T1 courses in Nuku, and we’re four weeks away from the start of teaching. There’s still a lot that needs to happen in this short time, so we’ve summarised the key information we’d like people to know. This update covers:

The Nuku team is now focused on migration of T1 courses from Blackboard to Nuku. T1 is much bigger than T3. The team is pushing to get as much done as possible in December and January, so that in February the primary focus can move to training and intensive support. This update covers:

Learning Platform Project Update - 23 November 2022
We’re now in the second week of Trimester 3 teaching on Nuku, and things seem to be going well. It’s been a quiet couple of weeks for the Service Desk and Faculty Learning and Teaching Advisors (FLATAs) in terms of issues and requests for support, so we’re taking a moment to review our performance and get on with Trimester 1 course migrations. Learning Platform Project Update - 16 November 2022
We are now teaching on Nuku, our new learning platform. This is a huge achievement for everyone who has been involved. We hope the experience of using Nuku is a good one for all our teaching teams and students. We paused for a moment last week to celebrate with a slice of cake, and our Provost Wendy Larner also writes this week to acknowledge the hard work of everyone who has helped us get to this point. Learning Platform Project Update - 2 November 2022
From Monday, 7 November, all enrolled T3 students will have access to all their courses in Nuku. This will enable students to familiarise themselves with Canvas and their course information ahead of the start of teaching on 14 November. In this update, we cover where to get help with using Nuku and Canvas:

Learning Platform Project Update - 26 October 2022
Last week, the last major technical integration was successfully completed. Next week, students enrolled in T3 courses will be able to go on Nuku and see their courses in Canvas. Meanwhile, our Faculty Learning and Teaching Advisors (FLATAs) are preparing to provide lots of go-live support to our teaching and admin support staff.
